Syracuse, NY-a 70-foot Norway spruce was picked from the Elmcrest Children's Center to be this year's Clinton Square Christmas tree.

Brian Liberti, Syracuse's arborists said that tree had all the qualities they were looking for. "It's got a fantastic shape, it's a beautiful tree,"said Liberti.

After spending 50 to 60 hours looking at 60 trees, Liberti finally decided on the Norway spruce in the Salt Springs neighborhood of Syracuse. The city always picks this particular kind of tree because it is easily tied down to pass under bridges making it easy to transport to downtown. The tree will be cut down and brought to Clinton Square on November 12th.
