Hofstra Football No More

By Jameson Fleming

For the second time in two weeks a Colonial Athletic Association school has cut its football program. Hofstra joins Northeastern as the latest program to cut football to try to cut financial losses in the athletic department.

Hofstra has produced several big name wide receivers that have gone on to star in the NFL like Marques Colston and Wayne Chrebet.

The program's cut is the latest blow to college football at the Football Championship Series as schools at that level are beginning to lean towards cutting their football programs because of the high costs and little revenue it produces in return.

The Pride football team has been around for 69 seasons and produced a 403-268-11 record during that span.
